Resolution 33/23 (Syria) A/HRC/RES/33/23

30 September 2016

During every regular session the UN Human Rights Council (HRC) passes a resolution on the human rights situation in Syria. Most recently, on 30 September the HRC adopted a resolution demanding that the Syrian authorities cooperate fully with the HRC and the Commission of Inquiry by granting it immediate, full and unfettered access throughout the country; demanding that the Syrian authorities facilitate, and all other parties to the conflict do not hinder, the full, immediate and safe access of the UN and humanitarian actors; and demanding that the Syrian authorities meet their responsibility to protect the Syrian population.
