Resolution 2759 (Central African Republic) S/RES/2759

14 November 2024

On 14 November 2024 the UN Security Council adopted Resolution 2759 on the situation in the Central African Republic (CAR). Resolution 2759 extends the mandate of the UN peacekeeping mission in CAR (MINUSCA) until 15 November 2025, with a mandate that prioritizes the protection of civilians. The resolution also recalls “that the CAR Government has the primary responsibility to protect all populations in the CAR, including from international crimes.”
