Resolution 2093 (Somalia) S/RES/2093

6 March 2013

On 6 March 2013 the UN Security Council adopted Resolution 2093 on the situation in Somalia. Resolution 2093 extends the mandate of the joint African Union and UN mission in Somalia (AMISOM) until 28 February 2014 and decides to extend the arms embargo on Somalia for one year. The resolution also recognizes “that the Federal Government of Somalia has a responsibility to protect its citizens and build its own national security forces”.”
