On 31 January Global Centre Executive Director, Dr. Simon Adams, was interviewed on the ongoing military coup in Myanmar by CBC News (Canada). Dr. Adams expressed concern regarding this threat to Myanmar’s democracy, called for the unconditional release of those arrested by the Tatmadaw and called on the international community to exert pressure on Myanmar’s military.
