On 5 August Global Centre Executive Director, Dr. Simon Adams, was interviewed by SABC News on the recent announcement by Sudan of its intentions to ratify the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. Dr. Adams discussed accountability for those wanted for genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity in Darfur, including former President Omar al-Bashir, and how the climate of impunity for the genocide had emboldened authorities to commit atrocities elsewhere in the country.
